Crafting Compelling Copy
Creative, crisp, and accurate
Advertising and Promotion
Writing compelling copy that intrigues and educates while still meeting the requirements of medical and regulatory review.
Education and Training
Disseminating important marketing themes through newsletters, case studies, slide decks, brochures, sales training, and other ancillary materials.
Medical Writing
Developing concise and effective pieces in the form of needs assessments, abstracts/posters, white papers, and communication plans.
A Concise CVA with a Storyline
Originally a 36-page collection of facts, the new CVA was streamlined to 12 pages that highlight the key concepts and create a logical narrative flow that is easy to follow. The design is clean, bright, and easy to read.
This new design was so well-received that we began updating all related materials in the same style.
Banner Ads that People Want to Read
Banner ads require copy that is concise and still meets regulatory requirements. For the branded static banner ads, headlines tempt the reader to click the link that leads to the product’s website without claims. For the animated branded banner ads, strong claims are supported by indication and safety information.
Websites
Here are two websites, which I updated regularly as new information became publicly available.
Social Media
My copy inspired the creative for this piece, which acknowledges the importance of our cardiology clients in helping patients.
Newsletter
My own company, Communications Nexus, developed this newsletter. I collaborated with the client from the proposal stage through final printing. Besides writing all the content, I partnered closely with a graphic artist to design the overall look.
CME-certified Newsletter
I wrote the CME-accredited content for this 10-page newsletter, which covered topics of interest presented at ASCO 2010.
Slides and Slide Kits
I have developed thousands of slides for presentation at clinical meetings, dissemination to speakers’ bureaus, and for use in sales training and promotion.
For many of these, I did my own formatting in PowerPoint.
Needs Assessments (NAs)
I have written hundreds of NAs on many different topics. This table highlights just a few that I worked on recently.
